There are many other services that the Credit Union offers you with your membership. Using share savings and checks are great ways to access your money. But, if you’re ever in a pinch for cash on the weekend or at night, getting an ATM card or debit card is a must! You can get an ATM or debit card to withdraw money from your savings and share draft/checking accounts.

Ask your Credit Union representative for the variety of ATM locations where you can use your card. There are even national networks where you can get quick cash when traveling or away at school.

Be sure to ask whether the card issued is only for use in an ATM or whether it is a “debit” card. The debit card can be used in ATMs or in place of writing a check at any merchant who accepts Visa® or MasterCard®. Although it is used like a credit card, the amount of the transaction is taken right out of your checking account just like a check. But, remember to subtract the amount for the purchase in your check register.
